Social Security to illegal immigrants
It seems the government sees fit to give an already unstable system a little more drain. We have illegal immigrants who now qualify for Social Security benefits after only 18 months as opposed to U.S. citizens who qualify after 10 years of employment. One pro immigrant benefits position is that 2/3 of illegal immigrants pay taxes and therefore should be entitled to benefits. My feeling is, yes that's true. Two thirds of the illegal immigrants they "know" about probably do. It's the 80% they don't have tabs on that concern me. Specifically due to the drain they put on society in regards to border towns, hospitals, and government assistance. Second, why are illegal immigrants afforded more from our government than citizens? What are your thoughts regarding this issue?

I can't even begin to express my concern for this issue. Aren't these people criminals? Now where going to give them the farm?
It seems like there are dozens of blogs on this topic these days. I've personally responded to three. Why should our government have the right to tax non-citizens at all? I mean common. If they aren't goint to be able to vote, isn't that taxation without representation? And, if the are to be taxed, why not give them benifits?
I am the first one to stand up for civil rights Mr. anonymous but we have to be serious about this. They are here illegally!! That means that they are breaking our laws. They should be put in jail, how about that instead of SS benifits.
Oh, I am sorry I forgot that our prisons (CA) are overcrowded and also causing a drain on our economy, taking money from our school systems and many other socail programs.
Why don't they just break into my house to stay the night and when they wake up in the morning I give them some money to stay for the rest of the week or maybe just claim it as there own.
DEPORT ILLEGAL IMMAGRANTS IMMEDIATLY!!! SECURE OUR BORDERS!!! MAKE ANYONE WHO COMES HERE SUBJECT TO DEPORTAION AND ANYONE WHO AIDS THEM SUBJECT TO CRIMINAL CHARGES!!! GIVE THEM NO INCENTIVE TO COME HERE!!! LASTLY, USE SOME OF THAT 12 BILLION DOLLARS THE GOVERNMENT "LOST" TO BUILD A BIG ASS WALL!!! THEN PLACE ARMED GUARDS AT THE TOP OF THAT WALL!!! I THINK WE SHOULD ALL SIMPLE REFUSE TO PAY INTO THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM IF THIS IS HOW THEY DISBURSE IT. LET IT BANKRUPT ITSELF. SORRY BABY BOOMERS, THE GOVERNMENT ONCE AGAIN LIED. SORRY GEN X/Y YOU'RE PAYING INTO A SYSTEM SET TO FAIL YOU. SAVE YOUR MONEY, PLAN FOR YOUR OWN RETIREMENT.
