Why America needs to fight this war!

9/11 was only one of the many attempts by terrorists to exterminate all those opposed to Islam. We are not safe from the threat of terror and our only prayer is that we continue to fight this war on terror both overseas and here in the United States. If we abandon our efforts to control this threat the issue will not be if, but when the next attach occurs.

Should we sit idle and not thwart these people of violence and allow them the opportunity to strike again? These men did not attack a military force. Nor, did they further a legitimate goal. They attacked innocent men, women and children at there place of business with one intent. To strike fear in the heart of the infidel. The time to unite against this ever present threat is now! Whether we agree with the president or not. Republican, democrat or otherwise, we are the United States. We defend our own. We will not be dominated nor will we be scattered. We will Unite for the greater good of mankind. Let our troops know how valuable there service is. Show support for the men and women laying down there lives. This war will not end quietly. There is little hope for peace. Pray for peace ever day and know that some peace can only be obtained through war.

It's funny how that stuff is rarely talked about, isn't it? Let's not get into racial profiling or anything, we'll just sit here with our thumbs up our asses and watch for the next plane to hit.

Whoa! Who is opposed to Islam? Don't make the mistake of confusing an ancient religion/culture with modern extremist/terrorists, please.

Did you know that Jesus (purportedly) could recite the entire Koran from memory?

I couldn't agree more with the above post. This is a major issue surrounding the United States today and worthy of writing about. With that said, I would be the last person to attach a people based upon race, religion, etc. We're not talking about peaceful muslems here. We're talking about radical terrorist groups who use the faith of Islam as justification for attacking and murdering thousands of innocent people in the name of there god.

As far as Jesus being able to recite the entire koran from memory. I belive He probably could. Jesus also does not hate these people, including the terrorist for that matter.

I think you all missed the point. This war is not about Islam or any other religion. This war is about America's foreign policy under the Bush administration. Which frankly is shameful! The people of the Middle East are tired of America & Israel trying to impose their will and standards on the rest of the world. We make deals with corrupt governments (the US is responsible for putting Saddam Hussein in power) that benefit the American people in the form of OIL and strip the native peoples of their resources. Is it any wonder that extremists arise and gather a following?
Irag had nothing to do with the attack on the US. That is proven and no longer a question of debate. So you have to ask WHY ARE WE THERE? WHO DOES IT BENEFIT?
Because I ask these questions, does not mean I don't support our troops. I DO! It is for our young men & women that I ask these questions. How many more must die before the American people awake from their complacency?
